Club Run of Hyderabad Runners Society held at University of Hyderabad campus
Hyderabad: Over 1000 amateur runners turned up at the University of Hyderabad campus in the wee hours of Sunday to participate in the 13th edition of Club Run, the annual running event of Hyderabad Runners Society. The event, which had 10K and a Half Marathon of distance 21.2 kilometres, was flagged off by UoH Vice-Chancellor, Basuthkar Jagadeeshwar Rao.
In addition to amateur runners and fitness enthusiasts from all walks of life, the participants in the Club Run, which is usually considered as a qualifying race for the upcoming Hyderabad Marathon, also included students and university staff.
The winners of the Half Marathon (21.1 Km) race included Avik Pal and Vadde Navya while in the 10K category, Choudhary Balmiki Sharma and Gandeti Rajamani emerged winners. The top three runners were felicitated by Abhijeet Madnurkar, president, Hyderabad Runners Society and Srinivas Munipalle, Race Director of Club Run 2022.
