CM KCR participates in community lunch at Vasalamarri village in Bhongir
As announced by him earlier, the Chief Minister had lunch with 2,600 villagers of Vasalamarri for which special arrangements were made in 20 acres of land
Yadadri-Bhongir: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao participated in Sahapankthi Bhojanam (community lunch) at Vasalamarri village of Turkapally mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Tuesday.
As announced by him earlier, the Chief Minister had lunch with 2,600 villagers of Vasalamarri for which special arrangements were made in 20 acres of land. Irrespective of caste, religion and political affiliations, all the villagers attended the community lunch.
In all, 23 varieties of dishes including non-vegetarian and vegetarian items were served to the villagers in the community lunch hosted by the Chief Minister. Chicken, fish, egg and vegetable curries were among the dishes served at the community lunch.
Chandrashekhar Rao had an aged woman from the village by his side during the lunch. After lunch, he moved from row to row of dining tables set up for the community lunch and interacted with the people. When Supraja, a 10th class student, expressed her desire to study further, the Chief Minister assured her family members of help for her education. He instructed the catering boys to serve all the food items to the villagers when he saw that enough was not being served on their plates.
He also instructed Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy, who accompanied him, to personally supervise the serving of food to the villagers. The villagers were elated by the affection shown by the Chief Minister towards them.
