First and the foremost, ColorOS 11 offers an unprecedented level of UI customisation. You can create your own Always-On Display, theme, and wallpaper, as well as fonts, icons and ringtones.

In what could help Indian professionals and individuals on the go, an India-first ColorOS 11’s ‘Low Battery Message’ feature provides options to send messages when phone battery drops to 15 per cent, displaying users’ current location to selected contacts.

This allows users to share their status with families and friends when their phone is about to run out of battery.

This latest upgrade also enhances stock Android’s Dark Mode with three colour schemes and levels of contrast.

The OPPO ‘Relax 2.0’ in the update lets you create your own white noise mix while offering an extensive and immersive collection of sounds from cities around the world.

As more and more people make smartphones their work and learning devices, ColorOS 11 is equipped with robust features that improve efficiency at home or at work.

The ‘Three-Finger Translate’ (powered by Google Lens) feature captures and translates text through a simple screenshot taken with a three-finger gesture.

Another new feature called ‘Flexdrop’ provides a simple and intuitive solution for multi-tasking in the social distancing times.

We watched video and text at the same time, which is particularly useful for gamers and content streaming lovers.

The new ‘Super Power Saving Mode’ helps select six apps to run in low-battery situations.

Meanwhile, Battery Guard prevents damage from prolonged charging at unstable power voltages by learning user habits.

It pauses charging once it reaches 80 per cent at night, before resuming to achieve a full charge by the time users wake up.

ColorOS 11 has introduced ‘UI First 2.0’ which combines OPPO’s proprietary lag-reducing engine with Quantum Animation.

This boosts RAM utilisation by 45 per cent, improving the response rate by 32 per cent and the frame rate by 17 per cent.

A new shortcut to App Lock will enable you to lock apps through a password, fingerprint, or facial verification.

Auto-reset permissions return app permission settings to default if they haven’t been used for a long time.

ColorOS 11 is now available on the Find X2 Series and Reno3 Series.

The complete rollout will cover 28-plus phone models, including the Find, Reno, F, K, and A series, running into the second quarter of 2021.
