Hyderabad: To ensure all new Government medical colleges and teaching hospitals in Telangana meet the guidelines of National Medical Commission (NMC), the State government has set up Medical College Monitoring Committees (MCMC) to monitor and ensure all issues are resolved before the next inspections.

The MCMC will inspect, assess and prepare college-wise plans to systematically resolve all outstanding issues and set up robust medical colleges and teaching hospitals in Telangana. A total of 10 MCMCs have been established that will evaluate each college for infrastructure, human resources, academic and curriculum readiness, student welfare and amenities, operational and financial aspects, digital systems and IT Infrastructure.

The concerned District Collectors, as part of MCMC, will review the requirement of contract and outsourced appointments through DLSC, performance of service providers (IHFMS, Diet), patient footfalls including Arogyasri services, utilisation of FMS and eHMIS, coordination for cadavers, shuttle bus services, utilization of HDS funds etc. Each MCME has to prepare a detailed report based on their field visit and submit their report by June 30.
