Congress high command plans to replace Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, says BJP
Nizamabad MP D Arvind says it has been 15 months and all sections, including farmers, unemployed youth, women, beedi workers and Anganwadi teachers, unhappy with current Congress government
Hyderabad: Charging that the Congress government had failed on all fronts in the State, BJP MP from Nizamabad D Arvind alleged that the party high command was planning to replace Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, but unfortunately, there was no one eligible and they were unfit.
Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu was the only one fit for the position as he maintains a clean record. But he was not good at ‘collection’, the BJP MP said at a press conference here on Friday.
“One of my friends informed me that Revanth Reddy had studied CCPU course – Corrupt, Collect, Pay and Use. If a leader does not study such course, he or she will not be eligible for any position in the Congress party,” Arvind slammed.
In the past, the Congress leaders had openly alleged that the Chief Minister had managed to secure the PCC post by paying Rs 50 crore. They also charged that Revanth Reddy secured Chief Minister’s post by assuring the high command to pay Rs 1,000 crore annually, he stressed.
That’s the reason there was a competition among the Ministers. Accordingly, they were demanding eight percent, 10 per cent and 12 per cent commission.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who has been main financier for the party, was now sidelined for the fear that he might earn more, the BJP MP alleged. Continuing his tirade against the Congress government, he said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s graph was falling down a like a comet.
“Except for sobbing over debts, the Chief Minister does not have command over administration or any plans to generate revenue,” Arvind said.
The BJP MP stressed that it has been 15 months and all sections, including farmers, unemployed youth, women, beedi workers and even Anganwadi teachers were unhappy. Journalists were being threatened, besides using HYDRAA, builders were also being intimidated and as a result real estate sector collapsed, he said.
On BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s allegations over the Kancha Gachibowli land scam and the involvement of a BJP MP, Arvind demanded that the MP’s name and other details should be disclosed to the public.
If the Congress government withdraws police cases against the University of Hyderabad students following AICC incharge Meenakshi Natarajan’s orders, she should direct the government to alienate the 2,300-acre land to the university and close the issue once and for all, he said.
