Congress neglected welfare initiatives, derailed development in 11 months of chaotic administration: KTR

The BRS working president condemned the Congress government’s inaction in procuring cotton and paddy from farmers, forcing them to sell their produce at distress prices.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao blamed the Congress for neglecting welfare initiatives, derailing development and wrecking havoc of Telangana during its 11 months of chaotic administration. He pointed out that the State government could not even address basic needs of residential welfare schools.

“Telangana is witnessing a shocking reversal of progress. Welfare has vanished, and development is a distant dream,” he stated.


Responding to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s recent remarks, Rama Rao said the Congress government which did not clear food bills and rents for residential welfare schools for nine months until the school/hostel buildings were locked and supplies dwindled, was now threatening contractors to maintain quality. He reminded that around 36 students from these institutions have died due to negligence, hundreds got hospitalised and even more are protesting on the streets.

The BRS working president condemned the Congress government’s inaction in procuring cotton and paddy from farmers, forcing them to sell their produce at distress prices. He said under the guise of beautification projects like HYDRAA and Musi River rejuvenation, the Congress government is destroying the lives of the poor in Hyderabad and leaving no hope or opportunity for them.

On Lagacherla incident, he accused the government of creating fear among tribal communities by sidelining previously acquired land for Pharma City and imposing new pharma clusters in the name of Pharma Villages. “Those protesting for their rightful lands are being jailed under false cases,” he said.
