Karimnagar: In an inhuman act, a woman infected with Covid-19 was forced to spend two days on a push cart at Jammikunta town after her landlord denied entry into her rented house. Officials shifted her to an isolation centre in Karimnagar on Saturday.

A middle-aged woman along with her family members is staying in a rented home in Ambedkar colony of Jammikunta town. She leads life by selling vegetables. As she was suffering from fever and other health problems, she approached doctors four days ago and underwent a Covid test. Two day ago, she was tested positive for the virus.

Knowing about the incident, the owner of her rented house denied her entry into the rented portion. The helpless woman was forced to spend the Thursday night in the agriculture market yard where she sells vegetables. Suspecting the condition of the patient, the market yard staff on Friday enquired about her condition and upon learning about her Covid-19 test, asked her to vacate from the market yard without helping her get any shelter.

Since Friday night, the woman spent time under a flyover bridge near Ambedkar chowk in Jammikunta town. Finding her sleeping on a pushcart throughout the day, the local people enquired her about whereabouts and learnt about her condition. Knowing that she was infected by the virus, a local politician Molugu Dileep on Saturday informed the health department officials who shifted her to an isolation center in Karimnagar.
