Hyderabad: As part of the National Lok Adalat, aimed at amicably settling cases between parties through compounding, a total of 1,83,182 cases were successfully liquidated on Saturday.

The police department had identified eligible cases for settlement and served notices to both parties and the settlement process that began on February 27 culminated on March 8, according to a press release.

Of these, FIR cases compounded were 18,632, disaster management cases were 1,702, E-Petty cases were 93,201 and Motor Vehicle Act cases were 64,686.

During the National Lok Adalat, refund of amount put on hold in cyber crimes was also under taken and Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) achieved a major milestone by facilitating refund of Rs 43.31 crores to 4,961 victims of cyber fraud surpassing the previous record of Rs.33.2 crores refunded to 4,893 victims in the last National Lok Adalat in December 2024.
