Cyberabad and Malkajgiri She Teams registered multiple cases and arrested several persons during recent drives against harassment of women. Hyderabad: The Cyberabad and Malkajgiri She Teams have registered multiple cases and arrested several individuals in recent drives against harassment of women.
The Cyberabad She Teams conducted 99 decoy operations between May 2 and 7, nabbing 32 persons for alleged indecent behaviour in public places. Police booked 42 petty cases and received 17 complaints from women.
The Anti Human Trafficking Unit rescued three victims and arrested six persons in trafficking cases, while four boys were rescued and four persons were apprehended in Juvenile Justice Act cases.
Meanwhile, Malkajgiri She Teams caught 66 persons, including five minors, between April 16 and 30 in cases related to harassment of women. Police received 86 complaints, including cases of phone, social media and physical harassment.
The police also registered cases in incidents involving sexual assault, blackmail, online abuse and threats.
Malkajgiri Commissioner of Police B Sumathi said strict action would continue against offenders targeting women.
