Cyberabad cops organise skill development workshop for transgenders
With the IT industry coming forward to provide jobs to transgender persons, the workshop was intended to instill confidence, polish the participants' skills

Hyderabad: With the aim of empowering and creating employment opportunities for members of the transgender community, the Cyberabad Police organised a skill development workshop here on Friday. The event, part of the ‘TRANSFORM’ programme, was conducted in collaboration with Society For Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC).
A first-of-its-kind in Telangana, the programme was launched by Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, who said the workshop would not only align the participants to mainstream society, but also aim at developing employable skills to help them lead a dignified and respectable life.
With the IT industry coming forward to provide jobs to transgender persons, the workshop was intended to instill confidence, polish the participants’ skills, develop soft skills and prepare them for interviews. C Anusuya, DCP, Women and Child Safety, Cyberabad said the workshop would create a platform for transgender persons to resolve their problems and fix gaps to enhance confidence and acquire skills.
Krishna Yedula, general secretary, SCSC said the participants would now be more prepared for any employment opportunity.
