Cyberabad police arrest five for persons for aiding cyber fraudsters
Cyberabad police arrested five individuals for aiding cybercriminals by providing SIM cards and bank accounts used in fraudulent transactions. The gang operated via Telegram and WhatsApp groups and managed illicit funds through the gaming portal Dodgebook 777.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police on Wednesday arrested five persons who were facilitating the cyber conmen by supplying them with bank accounts and SIM cards. The police seized two laptops, 30 mobile phones, 32 cheque books, 23 ATM cards and 48 SIM cards from them.
The arrested are Doppalapudi Naveen Kumar, Vankadri Sandeep Kumar, Prudhvi Ramaraju, Chintalapati Pavan Venkata Naga Bharadwaj and Mamidsetti Ramanjaneyulu.
According to B Sai Sri, DCP (cybercrimes) the gang operated through Telegram and WhatsApp groups, supplying over 120 bank accounts for fraudulent transactions. They were employed by a person named Sathyanarayana Verma and managed funds through the gaming portal ‘Dodgebook 777’ hosted on the Supago website, she said.
A total of 14 lakh deposits in different bank accounts was frozen by the police.
