De-addiction program held in NTPC-Ramagundam 

Inaugurating the awareness programme, Deepthi Mahila Samithi president Usha Kumar asked the youth to give up the bad habits and contribute in progress of their family as well as society.

Peddapalli: The National Thermal Power Corporation-Ramagundam CSR in association with Deepthi Mahila Samithi and Dhanwanthari hospital organised de-addiction programme for local youth on Monday. A total of 40 local youth having different levels of addiction attended the programme.

Inaugurating the awareness programme, Deepthi Mahila Samithi president Usha Kumar asked the youth to give up the bad habits and contribute in progress of their family as well as society. She further added that youth have tremendous power and if channelised properly, they could do wonder.


Echoing similar view, NTPC Sub-Inspector Swarup Raj highlighted the law and order issues arising out of addiction.

Speaking on the subject, Dr Kamaraju Vijaya from NTPC-Ramagundam hospital spoke in detail on how to deal with addiction and subsequent mental health issue. She also highlighted the role of family and society to control the addiction menace. Office bearers of Deepthi Mahila Samithi and officials from CSR Department were present on the occasion.
