On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, Delhi Public School, Nadergul, took the opportunity to enlighten young minds how a stethoscope is not just an instrument, but a jewel of honor. A motivational talk was organised for the students, which was addressed by a young and scintillating MBBS, Dr Anjani Turaga, from Gandhi Medical College.
During the virtual interaction with the students, she shared her memorable experiences and inspirational insights on why we need more and more youngsters to join this noble profession to facilitate the enhancement of our country’s medical sector and community’s well-being. She shed light on how the pandemic is not the time to be afraid but to come forward selflessly and be the strengthening pillars for the sake of our nation’s future.
The evolution of medicine was also put forth to students. The session highlighted, thanked, and saluted all global heroes who emerge in white lab coats to save humankind from various life threatening dangers and improve the well-being of society.
More than 500 students of grades I-X of the school came forward to salute the front line warriors through a number of activities such as poster-making, thank you card-making and short-film making with which they brought into light the contributions and sacrifices made by doctors around the globe.
Students also highlighted the need for everyone to do their part as responsible citizens and human beings, and reduce the unnecessary load on medical staff by staying at home and taking precautionary measures while going out.
