Delhi Public School: Interdisciplinary approach for learning
Preprimary students of DPS Nacharam learnt about the importance of the “ Skin” as the largest sense organ in the human body.
Children learned the concept by touching and feeling various things like bindi, ice-cream sticks, ribbon, cotton, feathers, sandpaper etc. Children were asked to paste things on chart papers by identifying the different textures like soft, hard, rough, smooth and draw a few pictures related to it.
To make the session more interesting the activity was connected with English by writing the initial letters of different objects having different textures. This activity created a lot of excitement among the students.
