Hyderabad: Students of class III of Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated National Cancer Awareness Day. The day was first announced in September 2014. It is observed on November 7 every year to coincide with the birth anniversary of Marie Curie, known for her contribution in the fight against cancer.
Pink Rain Fashion run led by the theme “I Am and I Will”, an empowering call for the personal commitment that represents the power of our actions to reduce the growing impact of cancer. Dr. Saumya , a special guest, was invited to create awareness among students on cancer. She said “Early detection saves a life.”
Students had hit the runway in all pink clothing to create awareness and also showcased their talents by participating in the show by holding placards, sharing slogans, sharing their PPT’s and reiterating that cancer awareness can also lead to people making healthier lifestyle choices.
