Delhi Public School organises Poetry recitation, puppet show

Students of classes I and II of Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated Language Week from August 23 to 27 with great enthusiasm and fervor.
To ensure strong foundational skills in numeracy and literacy, this week is celebrated every year wherein all the vivacious students exuberantly participate in various activities, the school said adding that this year also students enthusiastically took over the stage and showcased their love for Hindi and Telugu language. The idea behind the celebration was to encourage students’ understanding and love for language and improve their written and spoken expression.
Keeping in mind the children’s interests and entertainment, the week concluded with a central assembly – ‘UTSAV’ which was attended by almost 500 students and their parents. Principal Sunitha Rao welcomed the gathering and emphasized on the importance of language and how the celebration of Language Week stands as a patriotic reminder to every one of their common roots and unity.

Janmashtami celebrations Students also observed Janmashtami celebrations where children mesmerized spectators by their breathtaking performances. The assembly concluded with the address of headmistress Uma Kasinadhuni who commended the children for their brilliant performance.
The celebration ended on a beautiful note where little anchors urged everyone to come forward and join hands in promoting languages and take pride in speaking their mother tongue.
