Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated science week recently for the students of primary school — grade III to VI. The theme for the assembly was ‘SCIONTURE’ – a blend of science, fashion, and nature.

The virtual assembly started with the lighting of the lamp and prayer followed by HOD Asha Sharma and principal Sunitha Rao’s address with their valuable insight on science and its importance.

Chief guest Dr Prajwal Rao, an aesthetic and plastic surgeon enlightened the audience with good knowledge on plastic surgery with a presentation. The programme entailed a plethora of presentations by young explorers on plastic surgery, colour symbolism- spectrum of emotions, design with nature, eco fashion, symbols in cosmetics, sustainable silk, exquisite walk- career in fashion. The assembly was concluded by motivating words from senior headmistress K Sirisha.

As a part of science week, students across grade levels III to VI participated in different hands-on activities like vegetable printing, fabric painting, and tie and dye on fabric.
