Karimnagar: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Friday said the development of the State was possible only if Self Help Groups (SHG) are self-reliant. “Continuous training and awareness programme will help the SHGs become self-reliant,” he said.
Participating in a Huzurabad constituency level training programme for SHG women, and representatives of agriculture and its allied fields at his camp office in Huzurabad, Rajender advised members of women’s groups to undergo training in fields where that interests them. He assured that banks would provide loans to establish self-employed units.
Instructing officials to identify poor and educated women and children of educated SHG women, he promised to get loans sanctioned from SC, BC and Minority corporations to establish self-employed units. Educated children of women would be provided jobs in private companies, he added.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kamumalla Vijaya, District Collector K Shashanka, Additional Collector Enugu Narsimha Reddy, and others participated in the programme.
