Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Friday said powers would be given to District Collectors to resolve prohibited land issues faced by the people, especially farmers across the State.
“If necessary, we will ask the Collectors to take suo motu notice and resolve the issue,” the Minister said, replying on behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, during the discussion on budget in the State Assembly here. To another problem pertaining to missing survey numbers, the Minister said the problem cropped up while uploading details on Dharani portal.
However, a new model for survey numbers would be introduced soon on the portal for the convenience of the people. Admitting that there was a problem with pending mutation, he said the department has resolved it and cleared as many as 1.90 lakh applications.
Clarifying doubts raised by Congress MLA D Sridhar Babu, Prashanth Reddy said there were no major issue with respect to the portal which is a one-stop destination for agriculture land transactions.
As on date, 32 transaction modules and 11 information modules were available on the portal. The department has increased the number of registration offices from 141 to 715 in 574 mandals across the State.
“We are able to complete agriculture land transactions through the portal in 15 minutes,” the Minister said, explaining the significance of the portal. In 2014, over 8.27 lakh documents registrations were carried out generating revenue of Rs.3,000 crore in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
In 2021-22, the department completed 18 lakh documents registration, generating revenue of Rs.11,026.68 crore with the help of 2,189 employees across the State, the Minister said, adding that the department introduced another facility five months ago enabling property buyers to complete mutation at the Sub-Registration Office (SRO).
The move would prevent property buyers from frequently visiting the municipal offices to complete mutation, he said.
