Sangareddy: Irritated over the death of their 10-month-old son while being treated at a hospital in Sangareddy, the boy’s father and relatives attacked a doctor on Thursday. Police said MD Azeem of Nalanda Nagar admitted his son Moinuddin, who was suffering from Dengue, in Sishu Raksha hospital on September 6. However, the boy died due to cardiac arrest on Thursday morning at the hospital. The parents and kin of the victim have attacked Dr Raj Kumar, a pediatrician in the hospital. Dr Kumar said that the parents of Moinuddin had made the boy drink milk against his advice.

Following a complaint from the doctor, police registered an FIR against two persons for attacking the Doctor. Further investigation is on to identify the involvement of the others. Meanwhile, Dr Raj Kumar was admitted to Government Hospital here. The representatives of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Sangareddy unit met DSP Sangareddy A Balaji seeking action against the assailants.
