Don’t drop your guard against Covid: Mahesh Bhagwat

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat urged citizens to continue to strictly follow Covid-19 precautions. As the government had allowed the functioning of schools, colleges, offices, parks, hotels, bars and other public places, there is a need to adhere to Covid appropriate behaviour due to an increase in footfall and large gatherings.
Speaking after meeting Harikishan, Founder of Valmiki Foundation, who provided 50 German made face shields to Rachakonda Police, Bhagwat said, the fight is not yet over.
“We should continue Covid appropriate behaviour like wearing a mask and maintaining social distance in public places for our safety and safety of others,” he said.
“Though the cases have come down and the positivity rate too has declined, the threat is still there. Even after the lockdown is lifted and all activities reopened, a check on Covid appropriate behaviour needs to be kept,” he added. The Commissioner hoped for an end to the pandemic soon, with the cooperation of the citizens.
