Second Telangana Police Duty Meet gets underway in Warangal

The Second Telangana Police Duty Meet–2025 began on Thursday in Warangal at the Police Training Centre, Mamnoor. Inaugurated by Telangana Police Academy Director Abhilasha Bisht and Additional DGP Mahesh Bhagwat, the event features over 400 officers from across the state competing in 25 professional categories.

Warangal: The three-day second Telangana Police Duty Meet-2025 being hosted by Warangal police commissionerate got underway at Police Training Centre at Mamnoor here on Thursday.

It was inaugurated by Telangana Police Academy Director Abhilasha Bisht and additional DGP Mahesh Bhagwat. Over 400 police officers and personnel from seven zones in the State, including Cyberabad, Rachakonda, Hyderabad Commissionerates, CID Intelligence, Anti-Narcotics Bureau, Cyber Security Wing, GRP, IT and T, Octopus and Greyhounds would compete in 25 categories related to scientific aid, anti-sabotage check, computer technology, dog squad, professional photography and videography.

Speaking after hoisting the Duty Meet flag Abhilasha Bisht said that the duty meets help police officers acquire expertise in their profession. It was a matter of pride that Telangana was in the top two positions in all categories in the country, including criminal investigation.

She said that the feat was through the hard work of all personnel, hoping that the police officers and personnel would perform well in the national-level duty meet and win medals in all categories. She exhorted them to practice hard to succeed.

Additional DGP Mahesh Bhagwat said that it was the second time that the police duty meet was being held in Warangal and the previous one was held here in 2008. In the recently held 68th national level duty meet, Telangana Police became the first State police to win 18 medals.

He said that every effort should be made to win more medals in the national level to be held soon. Earlier, Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh explained the arrangements made for the Telangana Police Duty Meet.

CID DIG Narayana Naik, ASP Ram Reddy, DCPs Ankit Kumar, Sheikh Salima, Rajamahendra Naik, PTC Principal Pooja, Commandants Ram Kumar and Ramakrishna and others were present.
