Hyderabad: The students of class III of DPS Nacharam observed World Tsunami Day on November 5. Students participated in the Tsunami awareness programme conducted in the class. Students explained the effects of a Tsunami by presenting a model of a landscape before and after the effect of Tsunami.
They also explained how Tsunami destroys plants and houses nearby sea or ocean. They explained how to reduce the effects of Tsunami and the role of mangroves in reducing the effects of Tsunami. Teachers explained the impact of the disaster through a video presentation.
The students and teacher discussed the means and methods of providing humanitarian aid like food, shelter, first aid, clothes, etc. for people affected by the Tsunami. Students were told the environmental imbalance was responsible for calamity.
