Hyderabad: Learning about flags and currencies is a great way to start learning more about our world. As Delhi Public School, Nacharam, always believes in preparing our kids for the future, the students of Grade III and IV conducted an activity on December 2 where they learnt more about the flags and currencies of different nations.
Each country has its own national currency. It is important for children to know these countries and their currencies. Questions on this topic are asked in many exams.
Similarly, flags are representations of each country, their elements hold special meanings, and they come in different colours, patterns, and shapes, but conventionally almost all national flags are rectangular.
A flag represents an idea, or an ideal. It is honoured for what it represents. Many flags are held in high esteem for their history for the sacrifices made by the people and the qualities for which the country and people stand.
Students drew the flags of different Asian countries and their currency in an innovative way. This activity ignited their interest to learn more about the countries each flag represents. It served a dual purpose by helping students to hone their creative skills and also to learn about the significance of the flags of Asian countries.
All in all, it was a day full of fun, enthusiasm and creativity.
