Students from grade II to V of DPS Nadergul got an opportunity to explore and learn about the global issues through a webinar addressed by Janani N, Technical and Project manager at Greenrich Grow India Pvt.Ltd.
Janani interacted with the youngsters about waste management and emphasizes the issues of environmental degradation and motivated students to separate, reduce, reuse, recycle and compost the waste to make a difference in society.
The students who attended the webinar, all aged between 7 to 10 years, were passionate and were deeply inspired by the session. The students along with their teachers have taken up the project on how to implement the techniques management of waste.
Starting with the separation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and its proper disposal, the project included using biodegradable waste to make compost and use it for the kitchen garden being grown. A tiny way to work on the solutions to resolve the global challenges, therefore becoming responsible global citizens.
We aim to create a culture of environmental responsibility amongst the students from a very young age to empower them to meet global challenges with confidence.
