Driver from Tamil Nadu killed as truck hits stationary van in Telangana’s Adilabad
Murugesan Muttu was driving the truck towards Tamil Nadu from Maharashtra at the time of the mishap
Adilabad: A driver was killed on the spot, while cleaner sustained minor injuries when a truck hit a stationary van at Gudihathnoor mandal centre on NH 44 on Saturday.
Police said Murugesan Muttu (50) from Tamil Nadu was killed on the spot when the truck hit the van parked on the national highway. He was driving the truck towards Tamil Nadu from Maharashtra at the time of the mishap. No case was registered till evening.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Chityala Narsmamma, 60, a daily-wage earner from Rajivnagar died on the spot when an unidentified vehicle mowed her down while she was crossing the NH 324 at Amaravadi village in Mancherial mandal.
