Drug accused caught with hash oil jumps police custody in Narsingi
A suspect identified who was caught with 900 grams of hash oil by the EAGLE team in Manikonda and handed over to Narsingi police, escaped from custody on Wednesday night, prompting a search operation.

Hyderabad: A person caught by the EAGLE team with 900 grams of hash oil during a raid at Manikonda and handed over to Narsingi police station escaped from custody on Wednesday night.
According to police sources, the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) conducted a raid at Manikonda and apprehended the suspect Muzaffar, a resident of Attapur, after allegedly finding 900 grams of hash oil in his possession.
The contraband was seized and the accused was subsequently handed over to Narsingi Police for registration of a case and further investigation.
The man is said to have escaped from the police station after being taken into custody, prompting the police to launch an intensive search operation to trace and apprehend him.
Police said efforts are underway to recapture Muzaffar, while the investigation into both the narcotics case and the escape is continuing.
Elderly man murdered at his residence in Jawaharnagar
In a separate incident, A 70-year-old man was allegedly murdered at his residence on Santoshnagar Main Road in Jawaharnagar on Wednesday.
According to police, the victim, identified as Devaraju (70), was allegedly attacked and killed by a 34-year-old man identified as Deva.
After receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the crime spot and took the suspect into custody.
The Jawaharnagar police registered a case and are investigating.
Police are investigating the motive behind the murder and other circumstances surrounding the incident.
