Hyderabad: The Excise Department Special Task Force (STF) personnel arrested a gang on charges of selling marijuana-laced ice-cream and sweets in Dhoolpet on Friday.

Officials seized 100 drug-laced ice-cream kulfis, 72 barfi sweets and silver-coated balls from the accused.

Acting on a tip-off that drugs were being sold and consumed during Holi celebrations at Machilipura in the area, the STF officials conducted searches and recovered the drug-laced eatables.

The excise police found that the marijuana-laced ice-cream and sweets were being manufactured by one Satyanarayana Singh, a local ice-cream vendor. Efforts are on to nab him.
