Hyderabad:The drug racket kingpin Chukwu Ogbonna David alias Tony will be taken into police custody for questioning on Saturday, informed West Zone DCP Joel Davis.
The DCP added, “We have received the court order and he will be taken into custody from the prison and he will be questioned in the Punjagutta police station.”
Earlier, a local court in Nampally allowed custody of Tony for a period of five days from January 29 to February 2.
“We hope to extract more information on the drug network and consumers during the questioning. We are also planning to file a petition before the High Court seeking police custody of the businessmen arrested in the case so far,” the official said.
Tony, along with nine of his customers, including seven businessmen from the city was arrested in connection with the drug case. Meanwhile, four persons suspected to be regular customers of Tony are still absconding and efforts are on to nab them.
