Hyderabad: With maximum temperatures steadily rising in Telangana, people in the State are all set to brace for a long, dry summer ahead.
Based on the forecasts from Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad and Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the coming six days are going to be very dry, with humidity projected to go down below 15 per cent during afternoon hours across Telangana.
The present situation of weather is due to dry winds that are sweeping across Telangana from Northern parts of the country.
The IMD-Hyderabad has also indicated that Hyderabad and other parts of the State will experience large diurnal variation in temperatures. As a result, there will be a significant temperature variation between daytime and nighttime temperatures in the coming days.
At present, the mercury levels during daytime are hovering around 37 degree Celsius in the capital and potentially can rise up to 40 degree Celsius in the districts. The nighttime temperatures, however, range from 18 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius, a substantial difference in day and night temperatures.
With temperatures remaining dry with no humidity, the weather department and public health specialists have urged people to remain hydrated and prepare for the intense summer ahead.
