Hyderabad: The by-election result in Huzurabad Assembly constituency was only a beginning and the same would be repeated across Telangana, said BJP MLA Eatala Rajender. Though ruling parties played all tricks, the people in Huzurabad gave an excellent verdict and supported the BJP, he said.
The BJP would come to power in 2023 elections and the ruling TRS should be prepared for it, he said after paying tributes to martyrs at Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park here on Wednesday after swearing in as an MLA in the State Assembly.
He called upon the unemployed youth to take part in large numbers in the Million March protest being organised by the BJP on November 16. He alleged the State government did not come to the rescue of the unemployed youth.
Referring to fuel prices, Rajender said the State government was trying to put the blame on the Central government instead of reducing the taxes. “I will try to continue to fight on behalf of people and raise their issues on all platforms,” he said.
He said that it was the same ruling party, which strongly opposed protests at dharna chowk in Indira Park earlier. But the same party leaders were now planning to stage a protest on Friday. He claimed that he was humiliated after submitting his resignation in June this year.
Rajender alleged that the ruling party was attempting to suppress the voice of leaders and not allowing the former MLAs and MLCs to speak at the media point in the Assembly. The political parties and intellectual community and those who supported the movement for separate State for Telangana should analyse the result in Huzurabad Assembly constituency, he said.
It was the ruling party, which was giving posts to anti-Telangana leaders and instigating them against genuine Telangana protagonists, he alleged.
He said the Central government would not only purchase paddy but also bear all the expenses for the procurement and requested the State government not to create confusion among farmers.
