Hyderabad: Ruth Goode, Regional English Language Officer (RELO) from the US Embassy, New Delhi and her team met Professor E Suresh Kumar, vice chancellor, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), who is also a member, UGC and engaged in a detailed discussion on future collaboration between the EFLU, RELO and Universities in the US.
The meeting was chaired by the EFLU Vice Chancellor who emphasised on the new National Education Policy and the importance of interdisciplinary courses, skills development, internationalisation of education through collaborative research, teacher training, and faculty and student exchange programmes between the US and India.
The RELO, from the US Embassy, New Delhi exchanged courtesies and notes on establishing partnerships between the EFLU and the RELO. In future, the EFLU will liaise with renewed vigour with the RELO for organising joint courses, sharing MOOC programmes, workshops, and faculty and student development programmes.
