Eight held for gambling, Rs 17,650 seized by task force in Asifabad
Task Force sleuths arrested eight persons for gambling at Lonavelli village in Sirpur (T) mandal, seizing Rs 17,650. Two others remain absconding. The operation, led by SI Kanduri Raju, followed a tip-off and involved local police coordination.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Task force sleuths arrested eight persons for allegedly indulging in prohibited gambling at Lonavelli village in Sirpur (T) mandal on Sunday night. They seized Rs 17,650 from the eight. Two more accused persons were absconding.
SP Kantilal Patil, in a statement said that Bendari Srinivas, Prishingula Lachanna, Boddu Ravi, Aluri Kishor, Dongre Rupalal, Tekula Shankar, Budda Swapnil and Bonagari Naveen, all from Lonavelli were apprehended while committing the banned act at Aluri Prakash’s residence, following a tip-off. Pulajale Anil and Junari Prashanth were still large. They were handed over to Sirpur (T) for further action.
Task force SI Kanduri Raju, head constable Mahamood, constable Vijay, Ramesh and home guard Shekhar took part in the operation.
