Adilabad: Eight students fell ill after taking iron tablets at a government primary school in Kolari village of Bazarhathnoor mandal on Thursday, triggering panic among parents.
Locals said the students vomited and complained of stomach pain soon after consuming the tablets supplied by an ASHA worker and teachers. The children were immediately shifted to the primary health centre at Bazarhathnoor mandal headquarters, where doctors kept them under observation. Their condition was stated to be stable.
Teachers suspected that the students might have fallen ill due to contaminated water. Parents, however, expressed concern over the incident and urged officials to take necessary measures to prevent such occurrences in future.
