Hyderabad: BJP MLA T Raja Singh on Saturday said the entry of standup comedian Munawar Faruqui was banned in 16 States in the country for criticising Hindu Goddess during his shows.
In a short video released here, Singh said the BJP activists would drive Faruqui away from Hyderabad if he attempts to enter the city on January 9 to take part in a show. He said only those who were against Hindus would attend Faruqui’s shows.
“There are many people who are still fighting for protection of the country and dharma. Moreover, we are still alive to protect the dharma,” he said. “Industries Minister KT Rama Rao might be a secular but his father and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao constructed several temples and regularly performs pujas. Taking this into account, please don’t invite Faruqui to the city,” requested Singh.
