Warangal: Department of Physical Education, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW), has organised the ‘Fit India Freedom Run 2.0’ at the Green playfields on its campus here on Saturday.
KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy, who inaugurated the run, urged students to make physical exercises and yoga daily activities in their lives to keep themselves physically and mentally fit. “We have conducted the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 a day before the 75th Independence Day,” he said about the programme. The other speakers said that this type of event would help inculcate social responsibility among the student community. The prizes and shields were distributed for the winners of the 2K run by the principal.
Head of PED Dr M Srinivas Reddy, HoD, CSE, Prof V Shankar, HoD ECE, Prof B Rama Devi, NCC officer, Lt Dr M Ranadheer Kumar, Assistant Physical Directors K Venkatesh, R Nagaraju, S Mahesh, faculty members, staff of the NCC and students participated in the event.
