Food Safety officers seize misbranded products from Pista House in Gachibowli

Telangana Food Safety Officers inspected Pista House in Gachibowli and seized food products worth about Rs 17,500 over alleged misbranding violations. Samples of Masqati Ghee and Vangal Paneer were also collected and sent for laboratory analysis

Hyderabad: Food Safety Officers of the Telangana State Food Safety Department conducted an inspection at Pista House in Gachibowli on Saturday and seized misbranded food products.

During the inspection, officials found violations in the storage area and seized 15 kg of cashew nuts, 24 kg of dry noodles and 5 kg of potato chips, collectively valued at about Rs 17,500, over alleged misbranding violations.


Officials also collected samples of Masqati Ghee and Vangal Paneer and sent them for analysis to ascertain whether they comply with prescribed food safety standards.

The inspection was part of an ongoing enforcement drive by TGSAFE Food Safety Officers to check violations and ensure compliance with food safety regulations at food establishments.
