Telangana Food Safety Officers inspected Pista House in Gachibowli and seized food products worth about Rs 17,500 over alleged misbranding violations. Samples of Masqati Ghee and Vangal Paneer were also collected and sent for laboratory analysis
The Food Safety Department inspected 14 establishments in Hyderabad and destroyed 60 kg of ghee deemed unfit, while seizing 850 kg suspected to be adulterated. Commissioner Sangeetha Satyanarayana said the seized stock will be held pending laboratory reports and that legal action will follow if tests confirm adulteration.
The Telangana Food Safety Department inspected 131 food establishments during a statewide drive to enforce the ban on raw egg-based mayonnaise. Officials found five violators, destroyed 10 kg of banned mayonnaise and initiated adjudication proceedings against the establishments.
During the course of inspections, the Dosa Darbar and Chaat Republic was found operating the business without a valid license in Galleria Next Imperial Mall in Punjagutta.
