Forest department staff attacked by encroachers in Kamareddy

The forest officials lodged a complaint against the encroachers. The police are investigating the matter.

Kamareddy: Forest department staff were allegedly attacked by encroachers in Ratnagiri Palli village of Machareddy mandal in the district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the Ratnagiri Palli Forest beat officer (FBO) received information regarding encroachment on forest land and when the officers reached the spot and tried to prevent them from cutting the trees, the encroachers attacked them. The FBO and several forest officials were injured in the incident.


The forest officials lodged a complaint against the encroachers. The police are investigating the matter.
