Gang that sold Remdesivir in black market busted in Warangal

Warangal Urban: Hanamkonda police have busted a five-member gang selling Remdesivir vials in black market here on Saturday. The police have also seized Rs 24,000 cash along with five Remdesivir injection vials from them.
Hanamkonda ACP, Jitender Reddy disclosing the details of the case to the media informed that the five persons were found moving suspiciously at Jaya Hospital area in Hanamkonda and were taken into custody.
During interrogation they confessed that they were working in different private hospitals and have stolen the injection from they were working to sell them for higher prices to make quick money.
The arrested were identified as Elimineti Naresh, pharmacist and Vankudot Sandeep, cardiology technician at Medi Cover Hospital, Hyderabad, Jangili Prashanth, cardiology technician at Lucid Medical Diagnostics, Secunderabad, Bollam Omprakash, cardiology technician at Tenet Medical Diagnostics and Kokku Prashanth, anesthesia technician at Jaya Hospital, Hanamkonda.
The accused were arrested, an FIR was booked against them at Hanamkonda police station and an investigation was launched into the case, the ACP added.
