Hyderabad: Promising to resolve pending issues in the Amberpet division, BJP candidate A Yashwanth is trying to catch the attention of voters and garner their support for the GHMC elections to be held on December 1.

On Wednesday, he conducted a door-to-door campaign in different areas of the division, including Bapu Nagar and Chenna Reddy Nagar.

According to Yashwanth, one of the major issues in the division was encroachment of Mohini Chervu nala land which was causing flooding of the area with stench.

Stating there were issues in drainage system in the area, he said the drainage often overflows and mixes with the drinking water which has become a major problem for the residents. He also said people in the area were facing commuting issues due to lack of proper number of RTC services. He alleged that previous corporator had not bothered about these pending issues.

“If I am elected, I will resolve all these pending issues. Even before GHMC elections were announced, I reached out to residents in the area and supplied food and groceries during the lockdown period. The developmental works done by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy in last 15 years will also help me in getting more votes,” Yashwanth, an MBA graduate, said while promising to get MPLAD funds and develop the area.
