Hyderabad: Gitanjali School students celebrated Dasara with religious fervour. Students on the occasion vowed to get rid of bad habits from their lives. They wanted to get rid of their old, lazy habits by unloading negative traits which hinder their growth and positivity.
For that, firstly, they have embellished mud or glass pots and jars, wrote the one negative trait they wanted to get rid of on a piece of paper. Secondly, dressed in traditional wear, told their friends during the online classes, the importance of dumping certain evil habits to move on to a better future before tearing up the paper and throwing it in the pot.
Parents also participated in the activity and talked about certain evil practices they want to be vanished from the society such as corruption, poverty, inequality etc. Some children dressed up like Lord Rama, Sita and Durga Devi, recited slokas and enacted the moments from history of Dasara. This was a special way to welcome the festival where we celebrate the victory of good over evil.
