Warangal Rural: TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is striving to helping the poor to get the financial assistance for the marriages of their children and medical requirements, said Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy.

He distributed Rs 4.74 crore worth of cheques under the Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak to 474 beneficiaries belonging to SC, ST, BC, minority and Rs 45.30 lakh under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) at his camp office in Narsampet on Monday.

“The Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shaadi Mubarak scheme was introduced with the aim of releasing the poor from the shackles of the debts,” he said and added that people who did not get the medical insurance coverage under the Aarogyasri can avail the financial benefit under the CMRF. “Every poor person with a white ration card (or) food security card is eligible to apply to the CM Relief Fund,” he added. RDO, Tahsildhars and others attended the programme.
