Half marathon held in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: A half marathon was organized by the Karimnagar Cyclist Association in the town on Sunday in order to educate the people about fitness. As part of the programme, 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k runs were organized.
Flagging off the event at Ambedkar stadium, Collector Pamela Satpathy emphasized the need to exercise at least 45 minutes every day to lead a healthy life. Various sections of the people including students, youth, employees, NCC cadets, students of various defense academies and others participated in the event in a big way. Organizers presented appreciation certificates to participants and prizes to winners.
Municipal commissioner Chahat Bajpai, Alphores educational institutions chairman Dr Narender Reddy, cycling association district president, IV schools owner Pasula Mahesh and others participated in the event.
