The event scheduled on December 1 will begin at 5 am on the institute's Kandi campus. Participants can choose between the 21.1 km half marathon, a 10K run, and a 5K fun run

As part of the programme, 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k runs were organized.

This year’s NMDC Hyderabad Marathon will see over 25,500 participants, including runners from across India and 17 countries, making it as one of the most prestigious city marathons. 

Sachin told media persons, "It is a reflection of how we are thinking and taking our health seriously. It s a positive step towards a healthy nation."

Overwhelmed by the response to the event, Rao announced that the event would be conducted every year in Siddipet. 

In a video released by Dr Nagalakshmi, 56, she appreciated the Siddipet Police and Siddipet Runners Association for organising the event.

While 350 enrolled for the Half Marathon (21 KM), 550 and 3,100 respectively enrolled for a 10-K Run and 5-K Run respectively.
