Heavy rains batter Hyderabad again, IMD predicts more showers on Monday
A sudden spell of heavy rain disrupted life across Hyderabad on Sunday evening, flooding roads and halting traffic in several areas. Shaikpet recorded the highest rainfall at 8 cm, followed by East Anandbagh, Bandlaguda, and Lalapet. Waterlogging was reported in multiple localities in the city.

Hyderabad: A sudden burst of heavy downpour lashed several parts of Hyderabad and its outskirts on Sunday evening.
The rains, which lasted for a couple of hours with intensity in some parts of the city, left roads inundated, bringing Sunday traffic to a halt.
According to Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS) data till 8 pm, Shaikpet recorded the highest rainfall of 8 cm, followed by 5.5 cm at East Anandbagh, 5.4 cm at Bandlaguda and 5.1 cm at Lalapet.
With heavy rains in Kushaiguda, Abids, Himayathnagar, Tolichowki, Neredmet and Ramnagar, the roads remained waterlogged for a couple more hours.
For Monday, the IMD-Hyderabad predicts light-to-moderate rain or thundershowers in the city towards the evening or night.
