A powerful thunderstorm struck Hyderabad on Sunday evening, with eastern parts like Hayathnagar, Uppal and LB Nagar receiving significant rainfall. Defence Colony in Hayathnagar recorded the highest at 85 mm. The downpour later spread to areas like Jeedimetla, Balanagar and Nizampet.
