Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Management Association’s Industry Readiness Program (IRP) which was announced last month has been rolled out on Saturday. The objective is to prepare participants to face the real-world of corporate/entrepreneurship and bridge the gap between academics and working environment.
The IRP, which will have 31 candidates in the first batch, is specifically designed for the students primarily from government affiliated or government-funded MBA/BBA colleges or other colleges having management wings. This will be a 42-hour programme stretched over two months.
The programme officially launched by Navin Mittal, commissioner, Collegiate Education & Technical Education, Government of Telangana, is driven by Dr Sriharsha Reddy, co-convenor, Student Development Program & Dean of IMT Hyderabad and Jaywant Naidu, convenor, Student Development Program.
The programme content is divided into three modules–soft skills, employment readiness skills and industry readiness skills. The main objective is to ensure that the skills required and chalked by the World Economic Forum Skill Report is imparted to the candidates taking the course, making them industry ready. The programme has resource persons from premier business schools and industry.
Navin Mittal said, “We humans have advantage over technology since we have creativity and innovation which is an inherent trait and the programme talks about these aspects.”
