Hyderabad: The HCL Cyclothon Hyderabad, organised by HCL Group, a leading global conglomerate, in association with the Government of Telangana and under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), witnessed an impressive participation of over 1,900 cyclists on Sunday.
The event brought together professionals, amateurs, and fitness enthusiasts from across the country. The race commenced and concluded at Prime Arena, Osman Nagar, Vattinagulapalle, offering participants a scenic and competitive route through Hyderabad’s urban and green landscapes.
Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma was the chief guest as the cyclists competed across multiple race categories for a record Rs 33.6 lakh prize pool, reaffirming the event’s position as India’s premier cycling competition.
“Events like the HCL Cyclothon are a testament to the growing awareness around fitness, sustainability, and community well-being. It is inspiring to see people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the spirit of cycling and champion a healthier, greener India,” Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma said.

The Professional Elite Race (50 km) saw intense competition, with Harshveer Singh from Punjab and Pooja Baban Danole from Maharashtra claiming the top spot to become winners.
