In India’s rapidly evolving technology landscape, the companies that endure are not merely those that chase scale, but those that align innovation with national priorities. Over nearly two decades, Brihaspathi Technologies Limited has positioned itself at this intersection, where artificial intelligence, public safety, renewable energy and enterprise digitisation converge to support India’s growing digital ambitions.
Brihaspathi Technologies was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Hyderabad. The company has grown from a technology services firm into a multi-domain solutions provider with a strong footprint across government, enterprise and infrastructure projects. Its work spans AI-driven surveillance, integrated command centres, solar energy systems and enterprise software platforms designed to address operational realities rather than abstract technological promise.
Mr Rajasekhar Papolu, Chairman & Managing Director, has consistently emphasised indigenous capability-building. Brihaspathi Technology’s philosophy, which is rooted in domestic R&D, local manufacturing, and skilled workforce development, has increasingly resonated in an environment shaped by initiatives such as ‘Make in India ‘and’ Digital India’.
A Year of Execution at Scale
The financial year 2025–26 marked a defining phase for Brihaspathi Technologies, characterised less by announcements and more by execution. The company delivered multiple mission-critical deployments across surveillance and monitoring systems, particularly for high-sensitivity environments.
During the year 2025, Brihaspathi supported electoral processes by delivering over 2,160 streaming minutes across polling booths in State and Local Body Elections, covering more than 19 districts. In parallel, it monitored 58,500+ streaming minutes for examination surveillance, reinforcing transparency and accountability in large-scale public systems.
Such deployments are operationally complex, requiring reliability under pressure and real-time responsiveness capabilities that have strengthened the company’s standing as a trusted technology partner for critical national infrastructure. The company’s current order book stands at approximately ₹198 crore, including ₹131 crore dedicated to public transport security, involving the installation of 8,900+ cameras, with phased execution planned through March 2026.
Strengthening India’s Surveillance and Command Infrastructure
Surveillance remains one of Brihaspathi’s most mature verticals. Over the past year, the company expanded its AI video analytics capabilities, introducing advanced modules such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), intrusion detection, behaviour analysis and crowd management.
These systems are integrated with the company’s Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) framework, designed to process large volumes of data while enabling real-time decision-making. The emphasis, according to company executives, has been on adaptability ensuring that systems perform consistently across urban, semi-urban and high-security environments.
Renewable Energy as a Parallel Growth Engine
Alongside digital security, Brihaspathi has steadily expanded its renewable energy portfolio. In 2025–26, the company secured solar projects worth approximately ₹123 crore, taking its total capacity installed and under execution to over 25.4 MW.
From rooftop installations to industrial-scale solar projects, the company’s renewable initiatives reflect a pragmatic approach to sustainability, balancing energy efficiency with long-term cost viability for clients across sectors.
Enterprise Software and OrganisationalDigitisation
The company’s enterprise software division has also seen growing adoption, with upgraded HRMS, payroll platforms, visitor management systems and customised business applications. Built for scalability and ease of integration, these platforms cater to organisations seeking operational efficiency rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
Recognition, Compliance and Industry Presence
Brihaspathi’s work has not gone unnoticed. During the year, the company received four national awards, including recognitions for Industry Leadership in Tech Solutions and entrepreneurship. It also achieved CMMI-3 certification, a milestone that underscores its process maturity and project delivery standards.
Media visibility expanded across national publications such as Times of India, Economic Times and Indian Express, alongside digital platforms, industry forums and leadership interviews reflecting growing interest in companies operating at the intersection of technology and governance.
Manufacturing and the Road Ahead
Looking forward, Brihaspathi Technologies is preparing to operationalise a 72,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in TunikiBollaram, Siddipet, Telangana. The facility is expected to produce up to 2.5 million CCTV units per month, initiate laptop assembly and create over 400 local jobs, strengthening domestic manufacturing capacity while supporting the company’s long-term growth and IPO roadmap.
As India’s digital infrastructure continues to expand, Brihaspathi Technologies represents a category of homegrown enterprises focused on execution, resilience and relevance. In a sector often dominated by scale narratives, its journey underscores a quieter but equally critical story of building systems which work, endure and serve the nation’s evolving needs.
